Conveniently close to Denver, but not so close as to taint the beautiful and natural landscape that so many enjoy during the summer time. Green grass, flowers, and busy bees surround the venue and cool mountain air whips off the tops of the foothills to cool off the many guests of Sarah and Ryan at their summer wedding at Willow Ridge Manor on June 29th, 2013.
What was most memorable was their “first look.”
The “first look” is a term coined when a couple opt to see each other in a more private or intimate setting. For Devon and I, its an opportunity to document one of the most significant moments of a couple’s special day – when they see each other for the first time before they wed. The reactions and emotions are raw, genuine, and when photographed… timeless.
As for weddings go, much of what you see here was natural – candid. There was hardly any staging on our part as the guests and lovely couple were all quite elated to be there. What a great day to be alive.
Special thanks goes out to Troy Rowe at Troy Rowe Photography. An amazing photographer and friend who helped us in quite a crunch at this wedding since Adam and I were in quite the scooter accident while in Honduras.
