The Colorado mountains in mid September are greeted with cool temperatures as the greens of summer gradually turn to the yellows of fall.  Still scattered throughout the landscape, an abundance of Wildflowers and tall grasses were seen everywhere and were backlit gorgeously as the sun set during their ceremony.

Aspen is a beautiful place to have a wedding no matter what time of year!  On the Wedding Deck on the slopes of Aspen, Rebecca and Travis had their wedding in early Fall and it was a sight to behold.

All the couples I photograph are special in their own unique way – Rebecca and Travis are no exceptection.  Travis is both silly and playful and Rebecca loves and embraces him for it.  Its these idiosyncrasies that I love to see in couples and I reflect on the life I share with my husband.

The indoor reception shared the same view as the ceremony and you could watch the sunset on the mountains to the west.  In the evening, the stars came out and you could make out the milky way from the deck.

I love the outdoors, and I love Colorado.  Days like these remind of adventures that I have had and will continue to have in this place that I call home.
