I have a lot of happy memories of Colorado mountain rain.
Low clouds roll in and valleys and peaks fill with mist. The air is clean and fresh and the scent of Colorado pines are a delight! This Summer Ritz Carlton wedding is the stuff wedding dreams are made of!
It reminds me of the joys of being a child. Now my fun is a Bride, Groom, and the beautiful mountain backdrop of the Ritz Carlton in Bachelor Gulch.
The first look started off sunny and we found a perfectly lit area filled with flowers. The clouds started to build as the day moved forward and eventually the rains fell. Lots of special moments were photographed as family and friends huddled close to admire the beautiful rainfall. We snuck our Bride and Groom outside once the rains had settled to a sprinkle and then took some of our favorite images of the day. Couples tend to view rain as a negative experience on their day. Over the years I’ve learned that rain is a wonderful medium for a photographer to work with, as long as the couple is on board!
The evening transitioned to nonstop dance party. Everyone was on the dance floor at some point. Outside the clouds had opened up and revealed the stars. This Summer Ritz Carlton wedding was a beautiful balance of elegance and festivity. Talk about a wedding photographer’s dream!
My favorite moment:
When Andrea and Greg kissed during the ceremony, their dog Halo started barking wildly when all the guests were cheering and clapping. It was quite a laughable moment! It’s the candid moments, the unexpected comical energy that dogs always bring to weddings that make me excited when couples tell me they are including their furry family members! Also, can we just admire how cute she looks covered in beautiful flowers?
