Romantic Winter Colorado engagement
It’s the middle of winter, the sky is clear and the air has that refreshing Colorado mountain wintery crispness that fills your lungs with liveliness as we head out on a late afternoon for a winter moonlit mountain engagement session in Mount Falcon State Park. Not every couple is game for this type of engagement shoot, but Rachael and Tyler are. Such a super laid back, easygoing, up for anything kind of couple. The perfect couple for a romantic winter Colorado engagement!
The sun was low in the sky highlighting the wonders of the landscape that never ceases to amaze me as we hiked in to the park. The light was just perfect and seemed to capture the warm golden glow emanating from this loving couple. We had some great shots as the sun set behind the mountain.
Next Step: Light painting
This could have been the end of a great engagement session but wait, these two are up for moonlit hiking. Back to the stoned walled remnants of the early 1900’s Walker home. On the way this venturesome couple even climbed out on the rock outcropping as the last rays of the sun for this great silhouette shot. And as if this wasn’t enough – they even allowed me to have some fun with light painting! How absolutely brilliant! A crisp winter moonlit mountain engagement session is quickly becoming a favorite type of session for me. The forrest becomes quite and still. Your breathing comes to the forefront of your mind and a stillness comes over your spirit. A beautiful way to bond with my couples and create stunning engagement photos.
Okay. I have to admit my imagination is running wild thinking about all the shots I can get of such an adventurous couple when they get married in Steamboat Springs this September.
Thank you, thank you Rachael and Tyler – get ready you started something colossal!
