Fall in downtown Denver, Perfect for engagement phots!

When we think of autumn in Colorado, we think of jagged peaks dotted with bright, gold trees that spread across the mountain landscape. Yes, fall in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado is magical and there are many wonderful places to do engagement photos. However, fall in downtown Denver can just as captivating. When our newest clients, Megan and Tymothe suggested they wanted to do an Fall engagement in downtown Denver, I was quite elated to do so.

Our evening started off at the Mile High Winery, located in RiNo. We treated ourselves to a glass of wed wine before our shoot, and we were fortunate to have the whole place to ourselves. If you haven’t checked this place out already, go – NOW! They have an awesome selection of wine and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing.

First Date Vibes

We then spent much of the remainder of the afternoon visiting all of their favorite spots downtown, including Scruffy Murphy’s where they shared their first kiss. The nostalgic side of me was in heaven!  I think the bar tender was even caught up in the emotion.

Prior to starting any photography, I tell my couples to be genuinely kind and sweet to one another. In doing so, the resulting photographs are authentic and represent the true fondness the couple have for each other. In the case of Megan and Tymothe, these two fell into their own little world as they were truly affectionate towards one another. It was an amazing moment to document on camera.

Of course, my favorite part of the shoot included their puppies. Shocking. Each had their own dog before they met, one named Sugar, one named Sage. Made for each other indeed!  Seriously, I think that is a sign from fate that you are meant for each other!
