Colorado camping is the perfect setting for engagement photos!

Camping engagement photo sessions are becoming my favorite sessions. Under a starry night sky, snuggled up with you loved one and a favorite beverage. Most engagement photos take place during golden hour, the soft warm light followed by a Rocky Mountain sunset. After the last of the sun rays have faded the shoot fades to finish as well. Not during Colorado camping engagement photos, that's when the fun begins!

I've been excited for this session for months, first of all because I LOVE camping. I love watching the night sky, from fireside with my two border collies snoring away in my tent. Because Brenna and Ryan are such wonderful people they didn't mind I had my two furry assistants along for the adventure. Keystone, my 15ish year old border was sawing logs under the twinkle lights I decorated my tent with. Bandit try to play fetch with us as I captured these two under the Milky Way. We finished with a favorite beer, or whatever was left in the cooler, admiring the remaining embers of a well built fire. I think we called it a night at 12am, Bandit on the other hand was still wanting to play. Oh, the never ending energy of a Border Collie!

Colorado camping engagement photos are the perfect way to capture and create wonderful memories during such a short period in the history of your relationship. So many big life event often happen during an engagement, moving, purchasing of a home perhaps, adopt a new furry friend, all while planning a huge event. Engagement sessions are the perfect moment to slow down, just BE together. A small amount of time in the grand scheme of things, it's a moment to cherish not cross of the long list of things to do.
