Colorado had an amazing fall season this year!

Warm days were as abundant as the golden leaves and it made for some spectacular photography for a amazing Colorado fall engagement.

On a stunningly bright and warm fall afternoon I met up with JT and Megan for their engagement session outside of Silverthorne, Colorado.  Though the majority of trees in the area are pines.  Although, you can find special places that have these pockets of gold scattered throughout the landscape.  Some of which host an adventurous maze of trails that add an extra bit of fun and enjoyment on any day.

Yes, please bring your dogs along!

When discussing engagement sessions with clients I alway get really excited when they mention bringing their dogs along.  For those of you who know me, know that dogs are very much my life! I refer to my border collies as my four-legged children, and to many of my couples they are a shared joy.  Watching people behind the lens as they interact with their pets is always a special experience.  As an extra bonus I get to enjoy some puppy love. Every pet and pet owner relationship is unique.  And its the idiosyncrasies that I love to see in people and capture in photographs.  So I will make a point to take a portrait of your dog, because to me dogs are family.

My favorite moment of this shoot was all of us being beaten up the mountain trail by a dog who’s legs are only four inches long.  Dogs are pretty amazing, so is this amazing Colorado fall engagement!

The vast Colorado landscape, fall colors, family dogs, and engagement photography…  What a great day to be outside!  What a great day to create beautiful images in the Colorado wilderness!
