Romantic Beaver Creek Wedding
The adventures awaiting in the rugged grandeur of the Rocky Mountains. Which brings to mind white water rafting, black diamond runs, rock climbing, 4-wheeling, and weddings. Yes I said weddings. There’s something so very special about mountain weddings – spectacular vistas, crisp high country air and the blue of the Colorado sky. With the record snow and rainfall, these majestic mountains are swathed in a blanket of green and every color of wild flower imaginable. It’s breathtakingly beautiful.
Kari and Dustin’s romantic Beaver Creek wedding at The Park Hyatt had all of this as the backdrop. Combined with an element of sophistication one might not expect of a wedding in the mountains. From the fashionable venue in a setting that is absolutely incredible, food exquisitely prepared and presented, to the classy wedding gown. This wedding could only be described as elegant.
Kari picked this date based on my availability and I don’t think she knows what unbelievable compliment that is. She amazed me when, with grace and charm, she climbed up the mountainside in heels. All to create stunning shots taking advantage of the greenery and wild flowers. And Dustin…well, he’s going down as one of my favorite grooms. Of course, I do have a soft spot for grooms that get emotional and cry during the ceremony (I secretly wish for this at all my weddings). I have to admit, when Kari’s father made his toast and expressed his gratitude to Dustin for reigniting Kari’s luminous smile, there might have been a few tears in my eyes too.
This outstanding wedding had it all - adoring couple, sentimentality, and a group of fun and supportive friends and family. Wrap all this up and place it in one of the most magnificent mountain settings in Colorado and you have perfection. Thank you, thank you thank you Kari and Dustin for including me!
