As a photographer, I have done my fair share of engagement photo sessions. These sessions are amazing opportunities to get to know the clients and we learn a great deal about them in the process. The whole experience is wonderful and in the end you have photographers that you really know you – It helps to ease the stress on an already crazy day. Lastly, you have amazing photographs that really capture the couple’s personalities and their relationship the moment they chose to share a future together.

As you may probably know, engagement photo sessions have recently become host to a series of bizarre and terrifying events that have plagued both couples and their photographers. Professionals in the industry have reported sightings of Jedi battles, zombies, and even velociraptors! Devon and I have been lucky as we have never witnessed any of these peculiar sightings.

That is until we met Rebecca and Jonathan…

The day started off as a normal engagement session. We took photographs of our lovely couple and their home. We had the pleasure of meeting their very sweet beagle – named bagel:) The day was looking great until it took a bizarre turn when shooting at the Evergreen Lakehouse.

A ninja showed up – A NINJA !!! It was as if the news of Rebecca and Jonathan’s engagement reached a clan of ninja warriors and one was dispatched to spy and ascertain if it was indeed true. Why the ninja warrior was there or his intent are still a mystery, but one thing is for certain…
